Luck of the Irish

Here is my St. Patrick's Day card. I designed this card when I told my friend Ranea that I would join the monthly card swap for her store, Scrap 2 It. I had so much doing this card. Okay, this is how much fun and how excited I was to do it. I designed this card the day I joined and it wasn't even due till weeks later!

Here is the recipe:

DP: The Paper Studio - Lined Shamrocks
CS: misc from my stash
Cricut cartridge: Simply Charmed (Leprechaun cut @ 2.26 x 2.41 & pot of gold cut @ 2.96 x 2.01) and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More (tag cut at 2.75 x 0.75)

Get-well card

Here is a card I made for one of the yahoo craft groups I'm in. It was for a Get-well card swap. I made 6 of these for the swap. I was really itching to use my Gypsy to make a window card. I didn't think it was too bad! LOL!

I lost my recipe notes, so I'll have to try to remember as best as I can what I used.

I used my Gypsy to design the card. I welded to scallopped squares together to make the base of the card. I welded the butterfly to the window part of the front. And I cut a rectangle out for the inside of the card.
For the butterfly, I cut another butterfly image with the DP for the front. Then, I used the same size butterfly image, but hid all the lines to do a 'blackout' and adhered that to the back part.

Gypsy: Gypsy Wandering scallopped square (2 squres welded together 5.51 x 8.40 and inside rounded corner rectangle cut @ 5.50 x 4.25) & butterfly (cut @ 3.50 x 3.38)

DP: DCWV, I don't remember what stack though. I think it is the Blossom's & Butterfly stack
CS: I think it is Colorbok
Flower: don't remember
Stamp sentiment: don't remember

Hmmm...I'm good aren't I? LOL! I thought I had all my notes, but I thought wrong! At least I did remember to take a pic of the card!

Soon to be posted - cards I've done!

This year has been kinda crazy for us. Hubby FINALLY offered a job (after over nine months of searching). The new job is three hours south of us, so that means preparing to Move and Selling the house! So much craziness going on that the last few weeks I have not been able to craft.

So, I'm going to share some cards I made before the craziness started! Hope you all like them!

Thank you Cards

Hubby and I have been 'visiting' a church, LDS. We have met some really nice people there. They are so nice, friendly and caring.

In December, the Bishopic, gifted us with a Christmas dinner (turkey, dressing, various canned goods, turkey gravy, dessert). It was totally unexpected, but a real blessing.

Also, a couple from the ward, who have turned out to be really great friends (the Steel's), gifted us with a surprise too. A movie-night bucket (popcorn, Welch's sparkling cider, $5 gc to Blockbuster, popcorn bowls and a cookie mix).

And finally, another family from the ward has been super nice to us, the Fairbanks. Dropped off some cookies and invited us to listen to Christmas music before Christmas. And then dropped off Marintelli's Sparkling Cider for New year's). They also have been really helpful too.

November 2010 Birthday cards

Here are two cards I made in November. One is for my older sissy (who happens to be Hubby's younger sister) and her hubby. Both have birthday's in November.
My sissy LOVES to read, so this is her card. I don't have my notes, but the image is A Good Book from Sugar Nellie. Ribbon (fiber) from my stash. The flower I bought from Hobby Lobby. I don't remember where the DP is from and misc CS. Colored with Copics and Sharpies!

And my brother-in-law loves horses. So of course, I used my Cricut (Animal Kingdom) and made a horse card for him!

DCWV Loot

Well, I am going to catch you all up on what crafting I did in late 2010.

First off, if you are not a fan of Roberts Arts and Crafts, go to their website and check them out! Follow their blog, subscribe to them on youtube, 'like' on Facebook and follow on Twitter.

On December I entered in one of the Friday give-aways. They teamed up with DCWV with a huge and I mean HUGE give-away. What, like over $400 worth of DCWV yumminess?! Come on, you know you like DCWV just as much as mean! LOL!

Anyways, I entered ALL the ways one could enter (like eight ways). And guess what I found in my email inbox come Monday (I think it was)? An email from Brooke at Roberts! Yeppers, I WON!!! WhooHooo!!!! It was an early Christmas!!!

All my goodies came in two boxes via FedEx. When Brooke said all DCWV needed was a name and addy and it was ready to go, they were not joking! Super fast shipping, way to go DCWV and FedEx!!!

Look at all those crafty goodness? TONS of paper packs, stickers, envies and wall decor!!!

I am totally loving all my 'loot'! I have even started using some of it!
